CALM is hosting its 10th Annual CALM at Heart Benefit, CALM at Heart: Transforming Communities, on Thursday, November 4 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at a private estate in Montecito. CALM at Heart is an inspiring, mission-driven event to raise funds to support CALM’s childhood injury prevention and treatment programs.
CALM strives to create a community where everyone works together to provide the best possible start for their children. This year’s theme, Transforming Communities, recognizes that the collective trauma of the past year will impact Santa Barbara County for generations and the opportunity to shape our future.
CALM recognizes that vulnerable children and families may need more intensive and lasting support.
“The past 19 months have changed us all,” said Alana Walczak, President and CEO of CALM. “CALM’s efforts to address the impacts of this sustained trauma and the long-term mental health needs of our community are collaborative and innovative. CALM at Heart: Transforming Communities honors the challenges we have all faced, while envisioning a more positive and vibrant future for our community.
CALM at Heart guests will spend an afternoon with Walczak and emcee Geoff Green of the Santa Barbara City College Foundation, while enjoying an alfresco lunch in a garden.
