Larry Hoover Jr. Confirms Benefit Show With Ye And Drake To Help Free Daddy
After Drake and Kanye West mash their beef at the rapper’s Toronto mansion, Larry Hoover Jr. confirmed that the two will indeed be attending a benefit concert to help free his father.
Last month, J Prince said he was working with Drizzy and Ye in an effort to help defend the leniency of Larry Hover, the co-founder of the Chicago Gangster Disciples, who is currently serving six jail terms in perpetuity. Soon after, Hoover Jr., who appeared on Kanye’s show Donda album detailing the fate of his father and family, said he would like to see the “Pop Style” collaborators put aside their differences to help free his father. Drake then met Hoover Jr. and J Prince, and the latter began teasing a benefit concert in December.
In an interview with the Master of Murder Music Show on YouTube, Hoover Jr. opened up about Kanye and Drake mashing the beef and confirmed the benefit concert for next month. “It’s happening, at this point,” he explained of the benefit show. “December 9e, you will see them together pleading for the release of Larry Hoover. We will get the word out to as many people as possible. We need to let the powers that be know that we want Larry Hoover in our community. This will be a great way to do it. In addition, we want to show people from other communities that we can come together in peace. “
When asked if anyone else would show up to play, Hoover replied, “I don’t know. You know, Kanye and Drake, they have star power. I don’t know who else might be there. It’s very possible – anyone in the business, I believe, they’re guys to work with and be a part of everything they do.
Hoover Jr.’s comments come shortly after Ye indicated that he wanted to sort out his issues with Drake and come together to defend Larry Hoover’s freedom.
“Me and Drake got shot and it’s time to stop,” Ye said earlier this month. “I ask Drake on December 7the to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year live in Los Angeles with the ultimate goal of freeing Larry Hoover.
Hear Hoover Jr. talk about the gig upstairs. Below, he spoke briefly about the tragic murder of Young Dolph on Wednesday, saying, “He stands out in the community, he did, there is no reason for him to be murdered on the streets. He is the one who could help get people from his community onto the streets. Like, we shouldn’t be removing guys from our community who might be helping our community. It’s like what they did with my dad.
